Dog Sled Rides
Saturdays from 4-6pm in Schuss Village
Rides take place on the scenic trails at Schuss Village. Each ride lasts 5-10 minutes and typically accommodates riders under 100 pounds. Reservations may be made through the Schuss front desk at 800.678.4111, ext. 3690. $12 per ride. (weather dependent)
Sleigh Rides
Saturdays beginning at 5pm and Sundays beginning at 12pm in Schuss Village
Bundle up for an unforgettable horse-drawn sleigh ride through the north woods. Rides cost $12 per rider, ages 3 & under are free (if child sits on an adult’s lap). To ensure availability, make your reservation by calling the Schuss Front Desk (by 3pm for Saturday rides and 9am for Sunday rides) at 800.678.4111, ext. 3690. Rides are available every 45 minutes and depend on adequate snow cover and weather. (weather dependent)
Children's Center
The Shanty Creek Children's Center will be open January 5th through the end of ski season on Saturdays & Sundays from 9am-5pm (and also December 26-January 1). However, the center will not be open if there are no reservations by 4pm the day prior. The center serves children 2 months to 5 years of age.
Rates are $48 for a full day, or $10/hour. A snack is included; lunch is an additional $6.
Reservations are required. Please call 800.678.4111, ext. 7158 to reserve a space for your child by 4pm the day prior to the day for which you desire care. In order to insure your child’s placement we suggest that you make reservations at the time you book your lodging. Late reservations and drop-ins will be accepted as space allows.
Babysitting
Date night during a family getaway? Shanty Creek maintains a roster of childcare providers who can meet your family's individual needs for evening childcare.
Rates are $15/hour for the first child and $2/hour additional per child in the same family. Minimum of two hours is required. If you decide to cancel you must do so at least two hours prior to the scheduled time or you will be responsible for $20 paid to the provider.
