Terrain Parks @ SCR. Go Big. Or Go Home.
Led by the award-winning Monster Energy Terrain Park, Shanty Creek sets the standard for the park scene in the Midwest. Schuss Mountain’s Monster Energy Terrain Park is three separate terrain parks on three side-by-side runs—Purple Daze, The Natty, and Boulevard—that combine into one monster terrain park.
- Purple Daze: multiple boxes, C rails, S rails, jumps and jibs.
- The Natty: all-natural rails and boxes in the glades.
- Boulevard Jumpline: back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back big air.
Returning in 2014/15 is SCR’s newest park setup, The Big Air Launch Pad, near Ivan’s deck. With its twin booters, the Launch Pad gives spectators a prime place to watch the twists and grabs of the region’s finest riders.
For the little guys, Schuss Mountain’s Low Rider terrain park has low to the ground, small jumps, rails, and boxes allowing newbies to gain confidence. Low Rider is located on the far left side of Village Way approaching Cedar River Village on Schuss’ north face.
Private park and slope-style lessons for park newbies and those wanting to improve their skills are available for skiers and boarders at Shanty Creek Ski Resorts.
