Summit Village is the resort’s western village flanking Summit Mountain and overlooking Lake Bellaire. With the slopes of Summit Mountain and sunset views, this village is remembered as the original Shanty Creek, first opened to the public in May of 1963.
Its flagship Lakeview Hotel & Conference Center keeps everything under one roof with 183 classically appointed rooms, a full-service restaurant, lounge and bar, over 12,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, a 3,000 square foot fitness center and spa, plus lift ticket sales and ski rentals for Summit Mountain, one of the resorts two ski areas.
While the Lakeview Hotel underwent a multimillion dollar renovation in 2007, if you’d prefer something else, Summit Village also offers a variety of lodging options from privately owned homes and condos featuring similar lake views and sunsets.
Summit Village is home to two of the resort’s four golf courses, Arnold Palmer’s award-winning The Legend and Summit Golf Course, and the Timberline Wine and Beer shop, Sarducci’s pizza and pasta, The Shanty tavern, and the Total Look salon.
